Introduction to Photoshop Tools

Marquee Tool:

Marquee Tool represents selection of an image by dragging it from the corners. Selection of an image can be done by using both Rectangular & Elliptical marquee Tool.

Move Tool:

Using a Move Tool is to move layers or the images which you select. The Move Tool views you the layer name by right clicking on the image.

Lasso Tool:

Lasso represents selection of image according to its shape which is irregular.

Magic Wand Tool:

It lets you to select image according to the pixels generated on single click.

Air Brush Tool:

Air Brush Tool is spraying a colour which it gets applied according to its tones and thus the result is produced.

Paint Brush Tool:

The Paint Brush Tool applies like a soft brush and throws soft/hard strokes of colour according to its shapes, size and thickness you select.

Eraser Tool:

You can easily erase image by using eraser tool. It applies according to its Opacity and Flow.



Pencil Tool:

It works like a brush tool but puts hard strokes of colour. You can decide the shapes and size.

Clone Stamp Tool:

Clone Stamp Tool copies a colour of an image and post that colour where you thought of posting. It picks Colour by press of Alt Button.

Smudge Tool:

It drags the colour and make it diffuse. The colour of it gets extended and spreads as if water is dropped on it.

Blur & Sharpen Tool:

Blur Tool diffuse the area which has hard edges where as Sharpen Tool sharpens those edges. You can also view these tools in Filter menu and can decide the percentage of both.

Toning Tool:

Toning Tool displays you three tools ie. Dodge, Burn & Sponge Tool.

The Dodge is to darken the areas of image whereas Burn Tool is to burn the areas. The Sponge Tool is to saturate the Colour.

Pen Tool:

Pen Tool is selecting an image by creating a path through which it gets selected along with its pixels and thus copy/paste of a particular image can easily be done.

Text:

A Text by its Font, size, and colour can easily be typed. The shortcut key for changing the font is Ctrl+T.

Line:

It creates a straight line and specifies you the width of it.

Gradient Tool:

It is a set of two or more colours that it applies by viewing you a colour pallet and such combination of colours can be applied to Background. Thus you can decide the ratio of colour by Radial and Linear fill. Linear fill applies its gradient from one point where Radial fill applies it from the centre point.

Paint Bucket Tool:

It drops the colour you have selected from Eye Dropper tool.

Eye Dropper Tool:

It lets you select colour of an image to fill. Thus colour can be selected from the current or the previous image. Also you can put values of colour you have picked from Eye Dropper Tool.

Hand Tool:

Hand Tool normally works like a scroll bar thus you can easily scroll the areas of an image.

Zoom Tool :

You can easily zoom in or out the areas of image by using Zoom Tool.
